in Life

This past week… it’s been a whirlwind

I got to meet my niece for the very first time. Babies smell like sunshine and warm cookies.

A finger in the eye = sibling love.

Steamy love.

A messy table is the thumbprint of love and laughter.

I got crafty for work and made centerpieces for under $5. I high-fived myself.

My City. Nashvegas. I love our skyline. This is the infamous “Bat Building”

I made my first visit to Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Awestruck. Girl Wonder’s was invited, along with 4 other schools to play in the CMA Foundation All Stars Concert.

Head and shoulders above the rest. Somebody lost their head. The symphony lobby has great pun potential.

I was in awe.

Girl Wonder takes the stage. Emphatically ignoring her mother hollering her name from the balcony.

Her last “official” portrait at 13. Official meaning I force her to stand still and smile at the camera.

Late night snack. A book. 20 minutes of quiet. 20 minutes closer to restoring my sanity.
