in Life

I’m rocking a shaggy look. There’s only so much a gal can do with a clip and a ponytail holder. I found this tutorial for a fancy looking, but super easy hair-do over at Ma Nouvelle Mode. 2 quick braids. A little twisting and a handful of bobby pins. And voila! You are coiffed for the catwalk. Or Publix. Whichever is closest to you. I’ve been wearing my hair this way all week and tripping over compliments (which never happens for my hair. My hair-esteem needed a boost).

I bought this ecookbook for freezer cooking from Mamma and Baby Love
a week or so ago. I’m cleaning out my freezer this weekend so I can make a grocery run for some of the recipes.

Here’s what I find when I’m cruising the world wide web when I’m hungry.
French Onion Soup Sandwich from Joy The Baker. Wild Rice and Lentil Salad from Dalai Lina.

If your local, Musicians Corner has a great line up this weekend. The girl child and I went last weekend and had a blast. Take a quilt. Grab some pillows. Kick back with great music. Get your nosh on from some of our city’s finest food trucks.

Corrie Berry Pie owns my favourite shop on Etsy. She makes whimisical. elegant jewelry with a vintage flair. How many times can I say favourite? She just had her 500th sale (woo hoo!) and has a coupon for free shipping. Treat yourself to something purdy. I’ll race you over there.

I’m off to go get grubby with yard work. Happy Friday!

Thanks, Franny!  I hope you liked the salad!  I have had that Joy the Baker sandwich on my list – isn’t that funny?  I have 1/2 dozen onions from my CSA box that I need to use!  I’ll tell you how it is :)

I’m dreaming that the onion sandwhich is as good as it looks. The salad was amazing. It was good the first day I made it. I had enough for a few days and it just got better each day. It’s on my food list again for this upcoming week!
